“I am a firm believer that an organizational culture that emphasizes teamwork, ethics and community involvement not only creates a great place to work, but also enables success.”

ExecutiveBiz: Congratulations on your new position. What led you to join ASRC Federal?

Wayne Lucernoni: First, I would like to say that I am excited by the opportunity to join the ASRC Federal team. The combination of the people, the culture, the mission and the entrepreneurial spirit really spoke to me. I’ve worked with ASRC Federal at different points in my career and I knew the tremendous reputation the company has in the market. This company is fortunate to have highly capable, knowledgeable, dedicated and customer-focused professionals. What also spoke to me is the positive and strong culture of the organization. We are a people business and I am a firm believer that an organizational culture that emphasizes teamwork, ethics and community involvement not only creates a great place to work, but also enables success.

ExecutiveBiz: Where do you see your organization having the greatest impact with federal agencies?

Wayne Lucernoni: We have a diverse customer portfolio, and each customer faces a set of unique challenges and pressures. Our goal is to provide solutions that address these challenges and contribute to mission success. Achieving this goal begins by partnering and collaborating with customers to understand their needs – then delivering on our commitments. ASRC Federal has a track record of being agile, flexible and having the right people, tools and processes in place, so I look forward to building upon this foundation.

ExecutiveBiz: Drawing on ASRC Federal’s strengths, what new market opportunities do you anticipate you will pursue?

Wayne Lucernoni: The company has experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of years, both organic and acquisitions-based. ASRC Federal’s acquisition and integration of Data Networks Corporation and Vistronix Intelligence Solutions helped us expand into the health IT and intel markets, expanded our capabilities in both civilian and DoD markets, bolstered our Governmentwide Acquisition Contract capabilities and diversified our contract mix. Given the recent acquisitions, I believe further growing our presence in health IT, the intelligence community, and national security space will be our focus.

ExecutiveBiz: What are some of your priorities in the next 12-24 months?

Wayne Lucernoni: To deliver on our commitments to our customers, our shareholders and our employees; it’s that simple. For me, it’s not just about the numbers. I really want to focus on our people and the communities where our employees work and live. I’m really passionate about supporting the American Heart Association. Unfortunately, heart-related illnesses affect almost every family. I truly believe health is the true wealth and ASRC Federal’s commitment and support of the AHA over the last couple of years has been impressive. I look forward to continuing the company’s partnership with the AHA to drive awareness and fundraising for this important cause.
