EIS Vendors Test Business Support Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting eventA new General Services Administration report says vendors that won spots on a potential 15-year, $50 billion contract for telecommunications services have made progress in testing back-office systems they will implement in support of that contract, FCW reported Thursday.

GSA released an update Wednesday on each company’s effort to perform Business Support Systems tests as part of the implementation of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services contract and found that AT&T has been halfway through testing, followed by Verizon’s federal business at 42.5 percent.

AT&T, Verizon, Harris and CenturyLink were among the 10 companies that secured positions on the EIS contract that GSA awarded in August 2017.

The vendors will compete for cloud, network security and other telecom support task orders under the contract that seeks to replace the Networx procurement vehicle.
