Janus Global Operations has received the International Stability Operations Association’s 2018 Corporate Achievement Award for helping government and nongovernmental organizations deliver support services to challenging environments.

“Our work is a challenge, given the hazards involved and the places we must work, but it’s hugely rewarding, knowing we’re helping people return to normal lives and enable governments and businesses to achieve their goals in safety,” Matt Kaye, Janus president and CEO, said in a statement.

The company has supported global stability efforts aimed to mitigate landmine threats, improvised explosive devices and unexploded or abandoned munitions that remained after a conflict has ended.

These projects were conducted on behalf of government customers such as the State Department as well as U.S. allies, commercial clients and humanitarian organizations.

Janus noted it helped Iraq’s government conduct explosive clearance operations in an effort to resume operations at a water treatment facility and schools in the country.

ISOA honored the company at an awards ceremony held June 7 in Washington, D.C.
