COMSAT Tests L-Band Satellite Connectivity Tech With Government Aerial, Maritime Platforms - top government contractors - best government contracting event

COMSAT has tested and implemented its L-band satellite connectivity technology on multiple aerial and maritime platforms for the U.S. government, Satnews reported Tuesday

The Wideband Steaming L-Band system is designed to increase the performance of terminals via a communications link from antenna-equipped ground vehicles, fixed-wing aircraft and ground vehicles.

WiSL uses an Inmarsat-built space and ground network to help users transfer data at a speed of up to 2.8 megabytes per second.

The system is built to employ commercial equipment and function in locations covered by Inmarsat’s satellite constellation.

Herndon, Va.-based COMSAT offers satellite connectivity services to the government, military and commercial sectors.
