IBM Awarded GSA Contractor Registration Website Support Extension - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe General Services Administration has awarded IBM a six-month, $16M contract extension to continue helping GSA update and manage the agency’s online registration platform for government contractors and federal assistance requests.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says the company has supported the System for Award Management site over the past eight years under the SAM Architecture and Operations Contract Services contract.

During that period, IBM has gained “substantial” experience in managing the website’s Integrated Award Environment composed of nine applications that support procurement processes at federal civilian and defense agencies, GSA noted.

The extension is intended to avoid service delays that may affect other elements of the IAE modernization effort.

GSA’s IAE program office and Region 5 contracting division will conduct market research to determine if any other vendors can address SAM AOCS contract requirements.
