Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Mary Legere, a managing director at Accenture Federal Services, has received the Saint Isidore Army Cyber award from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association in recognition of her initiative, leadership, insight and cyber intelligence skills.

Lt. Gen. Stephen Fogarty, commander general of the Army Cyber Command, awarded AFCEA’s “Gold Level Medallion” to Legere for helping modernize the service branch’s cyber capabilities and operations, Accenture said Tuesday.

Legere joined AFS in April 2017 to supervise the unit’s defense and intelligence business.

A former Army senior intelligence officer, she led the 17,ooo-strong U.S. Intelligence and Security Command and some 58,ooo Army intelligence experts in 140 nations.

AFS CEO John Goodman said Legere’s experience in military intelligence and cyber missions contributed to safeguarding national security in the midst of ever-changing threats.
