Army Requests Info on Potential Cyber Training System Integrators - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The U.S. Army has issued a sources sought synopsis as part of its research into contractors that can help the service develop and integrate a cloud-based persistent cyber training environment.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Monday says the PCTE is intended to help Defense Department cyber staff prepare for exercises and mission practices, as well as evaluate various systems, tactics, procedures and techniques.

The project entails integrating hardware, software and test processes to support PCTE implementation.

Work also covers providing a web-based tool designed to gather, save and examine maintenance, inventory, operations and supply data.

The Army intends for PCTE to employ integrated virtual machines that will work to link cyber facilities located at six different areas and emulate adversarial, friendly, neutral and industrial control system environments.

The branch’s Program Executive Officer for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation is scheduled to host an industry day on Nov. 26 in Orlando, Fla., to discuss the program with interested vendors.
