Enlighten, US Military Academy Sign Cyber Analytics Research Agreement - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Alion Science and Technology‘s Enlighten IT Consulting business and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point have partnered to study the potential use of data analytics in cyber mission planning and decision-making processes.

Both parties will aim to create a model for commanders and their staff members to make decisions about battlefield missions that are supported by cyber operations under a cooperative research-and-development agreement, Alion subsidiary MacAulay-Brown said Monday.

Steve Henderson, lead data scientist at Enlighten, and USMA’s Patrick Driscoll will jointly lead a group of engineers and scientists to carry out the research effort.

Researchers will create a cyber key terrain identification framework to help maneuver units plan missions, assess risks and counter adversaries.

Work will primarily take place at USMA facilities located in New York.
