Northrop Provides Live, Virtual & Constructive Training Support to Misawa AFB Pilots - top government contractors - best government contracting eventNorthrop Grumman has provided its live, virtual and constructive training systems and services for U.S. Air Force pilots from Misawa AF Base in Japan during four live RED FLAG-Alaska military exercises that took place in August and October.

The company said Tuesday its LVC Experimentation, Integration and Operations Suite helped the military branch’s crew members operate virtual cockpits at the Misawa Mission Training Center.

To date, Northrop has delivered LVC content to at least 15 different exercises.

Pacific Air Forces has used LEXIOS and other Northrop-made technologies in virtual cockpits, computer-generated aircraft and weapons and live training sessions at the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex range since 2015.

The company employs role-playing platforms such as the E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System, RC-135 Rivet Joint and F-16CM Fighting Falcon when live aircraft or virtual facilities are unavailable for an event.
