NIST Recommends CyberX Platform in Draft Industrial Control System Security Report - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe National Institute of Standards and Technology has published a report that cites the potential of CyberX’s technology to help manufacturers avoid cyber attacks on industrial control systems.

NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence partnered with multiple software providers to document how behavior anomaly detection tools can help manufacturing companies secure a robotics-based production system or a process control system, CyberX said Thursday.

NCCoE found that CyberX helps cut downtime, increase incident response time and monitor ICS processes through the use of Network Traffic Analysis technology.

The company uses NTA to locate zero-day threats that cannot be detected by traditional security tools such as IDS/IPS systems that require predefined signatures.

According to the NIST report, CyberX has detected anomalies such as unauthorized devices connected to an ICS network and unauthorized PLC file transfers and logic downloads between ICS devices.

NCCoE will accept public feedback on the draft report through Dec. 6.
