Report: DISA to Issue All Mobility Services Contracts Before 2020 - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe Defense Information Systems Agency intends to award all three of its mobility services procurement vehicles before fiscal year 2019 ends, Nextgov reported Monday.

DISA said it will possibly release the final request of proposals for the classified segment of the Mobility Enterprise Services contract in the upcoming weeks, with the award expected in the third quarter of 2019.

The selected contractor will be tasked to support the Defense Department‘s secret and top secret Defense Mobility Classified Capability programs under the MES-C agreement.

Meanwhile, DISA plans to issue the final RFP for the unclassified part of the MES contract in the second quarter of 2019 and announce the award in the fourth quarter of the same year.

The Mobile Content Management contract will also be released in 2019 and will cover all of the agency’s mobility offerings.

Jacob Marcellus, portfolio manager for DoD’s mobility program office, said during DISA’s annual Forecast to Industry event that the selected vendor will handle all of the MES agreements for mobility products and services for the U.S. military.

He added that having a different entity handling the mobility services contracts will allow his government team to focus on requirements and necessary modifications instead f the detail work.
