Army Eyes Lockheed for PAC-3 Interceptor Comms System Requirements Review - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Army looks to partner with Lockheed Martin‘s missiles and fire control unit to review system requirements for a guided missile system’s networked interceptor communications kit.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says the project will include engineering work on the software-based communication technology intended for the Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target Advanced Capability-3.

Work will also cover preliminary designs, analysis and trade studies necessary to define all systems and subsystem specifications.

The missile communication device is designed to support the Army’s integrated air and missile defense platform.

Lockheed produces the PAC-3 missile segment and support equipment. The company also owns the technical data package required to carry out the project.
