DARPA Seeks Proposals to Secure High Risk DoD, Industry Transactions - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency will host a proposers day on Jan. 23 at its office in Arlington, Va., to discuss a potential $54.4M program that aims to secure high-risk transactions across the Pentagon and industry.

DARPA currently seeks research proposals for its Guaranteed Architecture for Physical Security program, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Friday.

The agency said proposals should mainly help simplify the process to develop and deploy new hardware and software with provable security interfaces to physically isolate transactions and protect sensitive systems and data.

“System architects rely on several risk mitigation strategies including human fusion of data, diodes and hypervisors to manage high risk transactions,” DARPA noted.

Under the GAPS program, the agency intends to award three contracts to support three separate technical areas to build the tools designed to increase security of high risk military and commercial transactions.

The agency also seeks to help the Department of Defense accelerate computer-to-computer transactions, reduce reliance on software partitioning services and conduct more complex missions without putting sensitive data at risk.
