Air Force Seeks Industry Sources for Follow-on E-8C JSTARS Support Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The U.S. Air Force is exploring potential industry sources of sustainment services for the military service’s E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System aircraft.

In a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday, USAF said it looks to issue a follow-on indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for JSTARS weapon supply chain management, software maintenance, engineering and program management services.

The IDIQ will have a performance period of up to eight years.

Under this contract, a potential contractor will help the service branch create and implement a cybersecurity program covering  identification, protection, detection, response and recovery functions.

Interested vendors have until June 30 to submit responses to the sources sought notice.

Northrop currently supports the JSTARS fleet as part of the Total System Support Responsibility contract, which USAF awarded in 2000 and is scheduled to expire by October 2022.

E-8C is a modified version of Boeing 707-300 and designed to collect and distribute real-time battle data to military ground units.
