GSA Taps Ernst & Young for Entity Verification Support - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Ernst & Young has received a potential five-year, $41.8M contract from the General Services Administration to help verify entities that want to do business with the federal government.

EY will identify and verify individuals, companies or organizations that seek assistance or opportunities with the government in order to avoid duplicates in the awarding process, GSA said Monday.

The company will also work to ensure that agencies will leverage SAM.gov for contracting functions instead of having to issue separate contracts for certain services.

Judith Zawatsky, assistant commissioner of the GSA Office of Systems Management, said the entity validation program will provide a safe, secure and standardized means of verifying parties while simplifying the awarding process.

“This award greatly improves the government’s ability to manage data and is an important step forward to competitively procure entity validation services on behalf of the entire government award community,” she added.

Dun & Bradstreet, the current contract holder, will continue providing its services during the award’s transition of duties to EY.

GSA expects work to conclude by March 2024.
