Air Force Extends Geospark Analytics Work on Threat, Risk Assessment Tool - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Geospark Analytics has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force to continue developing threat and risk assessment application programming interfaces for a cloud-based platform that will support the service’s command, control, communication, intelligence and network systems.

The Herndon, Va.-based contractor said Tuesday it will provide the APIs for the Hyperion platform, which helps monitor political, economic and social risks at country, region and city levels.

The APIs will use artificial intelligence to automate analysis of data from news, social media, satellites and other sources and generate near real-time insights for risk and threat forecasts.

Omar Balkissoon, founder and CEO of Geospark Analytics, said the threat and risk assessment tool will change how the Air Force operates.

“We are excited to be working with the Air Force to bring the power of Hyperion to their networks and global systems helping to ensure the safety and security of airman across the globe,” he added.

Geospark Analytics is among the 51 small businesses that received contracts during the first Air Force Pitch Day in New York, which is aimed at increasing partnerships between the service and industry in research and development.
