Report: NASA, SpaceX Push Back ISS Cargo Delivery Mission to April 30 - top government contractors - best government contracting event

NASA and SpaceX have postponed the launch of a Crew Dragon cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station by four days to April 30, Space.com reported Monday.

The report said an explosion occurred when the company test-fired abort engine tests of the capsule Saturday. The capsule used for the test previously flew as part of the uncrewed Demo-1 mission to the International Space Station in March.

Jim Bridenstine, administrator of NASA and 2019 Wash100 winner, was quoted as saying the team is assessing the accident but will push through with the cargo launch event at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida next week.

Dragon is scheduled to lift off at 4:22 a.m. Eastern time.
