Engineering firm Ducommun has agreed to serve as a supplier for a majority of the programs within Raytheon’s missile systems business.

Ducommun provides Raytheon with electronics, cables and other needed technologies for programs across different levels of importance, Raytheon said Tuesday. This effort supports Raytheon Missile Systems’ $4B annual supply investment.

“This agreement enables Ducommun to expand on the work it has done with us for more than three decades and could help foster even more competition within our supply base,” said Eugene Jaramillo, vice president of global supply chain management at Raytheon Missile Systems.

Raytheon also named Ducommun’s Monrovia, Calif.-based performance center a recipient of the 2019 Raytheon Supplier Excellence Program Premier Award.
