The Federal Vision 2030 report from Accenture's federal arm indicates that artificial intelligence, data lakes and virtual reality technology could transform the way agencies manage information technology processes, FedTech Magazine reported Monday.

Dominic Delmolino, chief technology officer of Accenture Federal Services, said data lakes can help agencies format data to suit a specific purpose.

He predicted the adoption of AI tools will allow agencies to make decisions of lower impact and may increase the efficiency of the decision-making process.

Delmolino added that VR platforms have the potential to support licensing, remote testing and facial expression capture efforts.
