Mitre has listed the winning submissions to the company’s annual Best Paper Competition and one of the papers focuses on cybersecurity.

Mitre said Wednesday authors Taylor Grossman and Irv Lachow looked at the implications of intelligence and reconnaissance and other offensive cyber operations for companies through their paper “Cyberwar Inc.,” a chapter in the book Bytes, Bombs, and Spies.

The two other papers highlight the role of predictive modeling in administrative adjudication and development of a computational algorithm that could help identify genetic markers in a genome.
