Verizon Report Reveals Mobile Security Vulnerabilities Across Industries - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Verizon determined in its third mobile security index that many organizations pursue approaches that do not consider the need for mobile security.

The telecommunications provider said Monday it found that 43 percent of respondents have admitted a lack of mobile security in 2019, while 39 percent have reported cases related to mobile security.

More than half of the compromised respondents said their experiences with mobile security threats were major cases, and 20 percent of the organizations that suffered mobile security compromises cited unprotected WiFi as the cause.

The study tackled the mobile security situation across the public sector and multiple industries such as health care, finance and manufacturing.

“Organizations of all sizes and in all industries rely on mobile devices to run much of the day to day operations, so mobile security is a priority,” said Bryan Sartin, executive director for global security services at Verizon.
