The Department of Defense has invested $265M to date in industrial partnerships that aim to address the COVID-19 pandemic as well as issued memos for payment and scheduling of contract work.

DoD said Friday its investment has supported hospital construction and deliveries of medical supplies for coronavirus response efforts as well as construction activities, including those of mobile hospitals designed to boost the capacity of civilian COVID-19 treatment facilities.

DoD’s Joint Acquisition Task Force works to engage with industry to support the DoD COVID-19 task force in alignment with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services.

The agency’s director of defense pricing and contracting, Kim Herrington, has also released the Progress Payment Implementation and Equitable Adjustment memos that are intended to ensure cash flow and justify performance delays that take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

JATF posts continuous updates on openings for COVID-19-related industrial partnerships at a portal found here.
