The U.S. Army is looking for information on commercially available technologies to support the modernization of virtual aviation systems for joint all-domain operations.

The Army said in a SAM notice published Tuesday that it seeks capabilities for the Combat Aviation Brigade Architecture Integration Laboratory in Redstone Arsenal, Ala., which houses government and industry partners' technology evaluation and maturation activities.

CABAIL provides a simulated environment for the rapid assessment of aircraft systems in efforts to meet current and future requirements under the Army Program Executive Office for Aviation.

Technologies covered by the request for information include software and line replaceable units to support a range of technical areas such as navigation, sensor systems, weapon controls, survivability and communications.

The Army noted that proposed technologies must meet level 8 technology readiness criteria that certifies capabilities for “exploration in a lab environment.”

Interested parties may submit responses to the RFI through May 15.
