The Department of State’s Office of Acquisition Management has selected CGI to serve as one of the prime contractors on the potential ten-year Global Support Strategy for Overseas Consular Support Services 2.0 (GSS 2.0) multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, the company reported on Monday. Under GSS 2.0, the selected companies will compete for task orders under the potential $3.3 billion IDIQ.

"Our team is proud to extend our relationship with the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, using our international experience and performance-driven management approach to help them serve foreign customers and provide national information security through the visa process," said Kenyon Wells, senior vice president at CGI.

The company will utilize the CGI Atlas360 to assist the Bureau of Consular Affairs with the visa applications process. The scope of contract services includes a website, 24/7 information services, appointment scheduling, fee collection, biometric data collection, greeter services and document delivery services.

"We look forward to continuing to deliver a successful customer experience, enabling transparency and visibility throughout the entire visa application process as customer, agency and technology needs change," Wells added.

The GSS 2.0 contract is a follow-on to the current GSS Program, under which CGI works to help the Bureau of Consular Affairs process non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications at U.S. embassies and consulates across more than 70 countries.
