Startups participating in Techstars' accelerator programs will now be able to work with customers and businesses of Deloitte as part of the partnership between the two companies that was launched in an effort to boost the innovation ecosystem.

Catalyst, Deloitte's investment arm, will provide Techstars' portfolio of startups with new opportunities to connect with a wider range of consumers, Deloitte Consulting said Thursday.

Deloitte Catalyst also aims to continue accelerating developments for its customers and to have a diversified connections as part of the team up.

Techstars runs 43 accelerator programs and supports 2,400 portfolio companies. Deloitte will use its consulting services to help startups expand their business-to-consumer presence.

Alex Tepper, senior vice president for industry solutions at Techstars, said they help entrepreneurs by providing opportunities in the market. 

"Deloitte, as a leading provider of professional services, has a strong understanding of the industries our startups are targeting," he added.
