Dean Hullings on Forescout's Efforts to Help Enable DOD-Wide Zero Trust Security - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Dean Hullings, Global Defense Solutions Strategist at Forescout, spoke about the cybersecurity firm’s efforts to support a Department of Defense program that seeks to provide cyber capabilities for management of all Pentagon network assets to enable enterprisewide zero trust security.

In an interview with Breaking Defense, Hullings said Forescout was awarded a follow-on contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency for continued use of the company’s security platform to monitor traditional and non-traditional information technology assets in support of the Comply-to-Connect program.

“In year two and three of this new contract, DOD will up to double again within those two years, and they’re going to be in the tens of millions,” the executive estimated.

The C2C effort is aimed at safeguarding authorized devices connected to the defense information network by assisting agency personnel in identifying and classifying internet protocol-connected tech across facilities and tactical operations.

“The ultimate goal is understanding exactly what is happening on the network, who is connecting, what is connected, and what are those devices and users doing on the network so you can make sure that, where connection is necessary for a mission, it’s available but also that it’s secure,” said Hullings.
