PAR Technology‘s federal business arm will provide the Air Force Research Laboratory with counter-small unmanned aircraft system software and hardware under a potential eight-year, $490.4 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the AFRL Information Directorate.

The company said Wednesday its PAR Government Systems subsidiary will design, prototype, test, integrate and support C-sUAS technologies as part of the single-award contract, which has cost-plus-fixed-fee completion and firm-fixed-price type orders.

The IDIQ also provides for C-sUAS research, evaluation, experimentation and technical installation.

PAR Government will conduct work in Rome, New York, where AFRL is located. The contract has a six-year ordering period and a two-year option for extension.

Matt Cicchinelli, president of PAR Government, said the contractor will use its technical knowledge and experience in collaborating with the Department of Defense to support the development and integration program.

AFRL is obligating $5.7 million in fiscal 2021 research and development funds to PAR Government at the time of award.
