Former Gryphon Exec John Carty Takes Business Development Role at ManTech - top government contractors - best government contracting event

John Carty, former chief growth officer at Gryphon Technologies and a two-decade U.S. Navy veteran, has joined ManTech International as executive director of business development, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Tuesday.

He worked at ManTech from 2007 to 2009 and ran the company’s business focused on providing acoustic systems design, engineering and test and evaluation support to Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., according to his LinkedIn.

Carty was director of strategic initiatives for Gryphon before his promotion to the chief growth officer position in November 2019 and previously spent nearly nine years at Alion Science and Technology, where he managed professional and engineering services to NAVSEA and other defense customers.

His government service includes time as chief financial officer in the Navy’s program executive officer for integrated warfare systems and chief of acquisition and resource management at the White House’s National Security Council.

He also taught economics at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland as adjunct professor.
