KPMG has selected Attabotics, the developer of a 3D robotics system focused on inventory management, to install an automated storage and retrieval system at a U.S. Marine Corps smart warehouse in Albany, Georgia.

The KPMG team’s 5G-powered smart warehouse prototype will use the supply chain system to support logistics and inventory management and tracking activities to boost workforce and operational efficiency, Attabotics said Tuesday.

The automated system will work to identify, record, organize, store and retrieve materials and supplies using a wireless broadband connection and artificial intelligence routing and correction capabilities.

KPMG’s U.S. business serves as the sole prototype application developer for the Marine Corps Logistics Command 5G Smart Warehouse Experiment under a contract awarded in April.

“The application of Attabotics’ system in Albany’s 5G-powered warehouse demonstrates the diversification of fulfillment in today’s landscape beyond e-commerce,” said Scott Gravelle, founder and CEO of Attabotics.
