Data platform developer Quantifind has secured a five-year, $23.7 million contract from the Department of Defense to manufacture an open-source threat intelligence platform

The other transaction agreement covers the production of GraphyteSearch, an artificial intelligence-powered knowledge graph technology that analyzes structured and unstructured data to reveal risks associated with malign networks, Quantifind said Monday.

GraphyteSearch was developed as part of a Defense Innovation Unit-funded prototype project aimed at using AI and open-source and proprietary data to reveal signals of global threat risks.

DIU awarded Quantifind a contract in March 2021 to expand the use cases of its risk assessment capabilities to include defense and intelligence applications.

“We look forward to continuing to build a unified vision for risk discovery across the defense, intelligence, and banking communities, who are all helping improve our AI platform to achieve this mission,” said John Stockton, co-founder of Quantifind.
