SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, a multi-tenant software-as-a-service offering from SailPoint Technologies, has been given moderate authority to operate by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

SailPoint Technologies Vice President of Federal Jim Russell said in a press release issued Tuesday that with the latest FedRAMP certification, his company can expand its support for federal agencies, which already enjoys access to on-premises SailPoint software.

Available via Amazon Web Services GovCloud and compliant with the 325 FedRAMP moderate controls baseline requirements, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud works to provide government customers access to user identities, thereby offering a complete view of an organization’s security.

“Strong identity security is at the core of any effective cybersecurity strategy, and SailPoint is uniquely qualified to help the U.S. Federal government and its FedRAMP mission partners better protect sensitive government data and applications by ensuring each identity has the appropriate level of access,” said SailPoint founder and CEO Mark McClain.
