L3Harris Technologies and electronic warfare developer Epirus have partnered to integrate the former’s tactical communications systems with the latter’s advanced electronics technology to develop high-efficiency tactical radios.
The team will work towards improving the range, battery life and heat management of communication systems to meet modern combat demands, L3Harris said Thursday.
The partnership is in support of L3Harris’ plan to adopt emerging technologies and meet customer needs for innovative and quickly deployable services.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sam Mehta, president of communication systems at L3Harris, said, “We are proud to support the United States, allies and partners with reliable tactical communications required in demanding missions around the world.”
