Duke Heinz, a retired rear admiral of the U.S. Navy, has joined Guidehouse as director of defense and security.
Guidehouse said Tuesday Heinz will advise the company’s Department of Defense clients focusing on operational transformation and readiness initiatives.
Heinz brings extensive experience in military logistics and strategic leadership to the global consultancy firm that specializes in advisory, digital, and managed services.
Before joining Guidehouse, Heinz served in the Navy for almost three decades. He began his military career in 1998 as the readiness officer of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise before becoming the supply officer of the USS Nimitz. He was also assigned to the attack submarine USS Bergall.
He went on to become operations director and then commander of the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support. In between those assignments, Heinz served as the commanding officer of the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Heinz held the director of logistics role at the U.S. European Command before joining Guidehouse.
