DataCenterEMC has partnered with Avnet to offer the VSPEX Blue converged infrastructure appliance to Australian enterprise clients beginning in early 2015.

Avnet said Tuesday it will serve as a distributor of EMC’s platform to independent software vendors, system integrators and value-added resellers throughout Australia.

The companies’ agreement also covers big data, storage and cloud computing products.

Avnet added it seeks to help its partners deliver EMC-based pre-configured data management products to customers through the distribution deal.

The companies believe that Avnet’s market knowledge, business relationships and technical expertise can provide an opportunity for EMC to grow its Australian market footprint.
