CAE has been awarded several contracts worth at least $91 million combined that cover training services, flight simulators and magnetic anomaly detectors for Lockheed Martin and two other defense customers.

CAE USA will provide training services and perform courseware development work for the U.S. Air Force related to MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator unmanned aircraft system under a contract option, CAE said Wednesday.

“We are continuing to see increased opportunities globally for the delivery of training services, and we are well positioned to capitalize on this trend,” said Gene Colabatistto, group president for defense and security at CAE and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015.

The company will also provide additional instructors to support the service branch’s training programs for the drones at New Mexico-based Holloman Air Force Base as part of a contract modification included in the contract option.

Lockheed Martin also ordered flight simulators for C-130J military transport aircraft and LM-100J civilian transport planes for installation at a new training facility that Lockheed plans to establish in Marietta, Georgia.

CAE said it also secured a contract from Mitsubishi Electric United States to supply AN/ASQ-508 magnetic anomaly detection system components for integration with 20 units of the Japanese defense ministry’s P-1 maritime patrol planes.
