Vencore has been awarded a potential five-year, $43 million contract to help the Federal Protective Service manage the agency’s information technology operations and systems.

The company said Thursday it will also provide technical program management and professional services to FPS offices across U.S. states and territories.

Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore, said the company plans to leverage an agile approach to support the agency’s IT assets.

FPS is an agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that deploys protection forces to secure federal properties and employees.

DHS awarded the contract to Vencore through DHS’ Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading-Edge Solutions II vehicle, which the company gained a position on through its acquisition of original awardee QinetiQ North America.

Vencore operated as “The SI Organization” at the time of the transaction.
