Booz Allen Hamilton and Splunk have entered into a cybersecurity agreement as both companies seek to help public sector and commercial customers detect and mitigate threats to their computer networks.

The companies will combine their threat intelligence and cyber operations in order to expand security offerings and bolster predictive cyber analytics tools, Booz Allen said Wednesday.

“As we all become more connected, leaders need to understand how the Internet of Things increases their exposure to risk, and then how they can mitigate those risks,” said Angie Messer, a Booz Allen executive vice president and head of the firm’s predictive intelligence business.

Both companies will offer an incident response flyaway kit to assist clients in post-breach analysis work.

Booz Allen and Splunk also plan to host events for businesses to examine cyber response methods.
