Day & Zimmermann has received a four-year contract to modernize and maintain a nuclear power station for the Nebraska Public Power District.
Mike McMahon, president of Day & Zimmerman, said Thursday the company aims to continue helping the public utility address productivity and outage issues at the Cooper Nuclear Station.
The company has supported NPPD over the past 11 years.
The Cooper plant is built to generate up to 810 megawatts of energy and accounts for nearly 30 percent of the operator’s power generation resources.
Philadelphia-based Day & Zimmermann offers construction, engineering, staffing and defense technology support services to government and commercial organizations worldwide.
