software engineeringPE Systems has won a potential one-year, $22.5 million contract to provide information technology systems, software development services and other technical support for the U.S. Air Force’s acquisition directorate secretary and other related organizations.

The Air Force’s District of Washington Procurement Office awarded the firm-fixed-price contract through a competitive acquisition with seven proposals received, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The contract also covers administrative technical support, database development, program analysis, facilities engineering, intranet and internet development, business reengineering analysis, specialty engineering support, financial analysis and training services.

PE Systems will perform contract work in Fairfax, Virginia and other locations in the Washington metropolitan area through Dec. 31, 2016.

The service branch will obligate $7 million from fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award, according to DoD.
