Kratos - ExecutiveMosaicKratos has completed a continuous collaborative airborne operation testing on its unmanned tactical aerial platform at the U.S. Navy test range in China Lake, California.

The third flight test comprised flying formations, lead-follow in semi-autonomous and autonomous modes, lead-follow in manual and autonomous modes and autonomous joins, Kratos said Monday.

“This third successful flight of multiple Kratos UTAP-22’s flying in continuous collaborative airborne operations and successfully exceeding all planned mission objectives concludes the initial development stage of Kratos tactical unmanned aerial system strategy,” said Eric DeMarco, president and CEO of Kratos.

UTAP-22 also deployed payload, performed a subsequent rejoin and conducted loyal and trusted wingman flight with another UTAP.

The platform is designed for use in tactical missions and payload delivery.
