RQ-21A BlackjackBoeing subsidiary Insitu has received a $10 million U.S. Navy contract to provide logistics, training, field service and other interim contractor support services for the Boeing-built RQ-21A Blackjack unmanned aircraft system.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the cost-reimbursable contract has a scheduled completion date of October 2018.

Work will occur in Cherry Point, North Carolina; Yuma, Arizona; Bingen,Washington and Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Blackjack received the green light for initial fleet operations from the Navy in January, ExecutiveBiz reported Jan. 26.

The RQ-21A Blackjack is a small tactical UAS that serves as a follow-on to the Scan Eagle UAS.
