Cloud securityDell Services Federal Government has received a provisional authority-to-operate from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Joint Authorization Board to offer an infrastructure-as-a-service cloud to public sector customers.

FedRAMP JAB granted the Dell Cloud for US Government platform a moderate impact level P-ATO on Thursday.

DCG is designed for federal, state, local and tribal agencies as well as higher education organizations, government contractors and federally funded research-and-development centers, according to a service description posted on the FedRAMP marketplace.

Prior to the certification, J.D. Biggs and Associates audited Dell’s IaaS offering as an independent third-party assessment organization for the federal government’s cloud computing program.
