DELL – FEDERAL BUSINESS

Mr. Chehreh is an 18-year information technology veteran with business development, sales, market strategy and technology development experience.

ExecutiveBiz: What technological advancements do you feel will most significantly impact your business in 2016?

Cameron Chehreh: Advancements in Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are poised to significantly impact the federal technology landscape in 2016.

IoT is revolutionizing the way that we interact and collect data creating a network of interconnected devices that is expected to continue growing exponentially, offering great benefits and insights to federal agencies. However, keeping the data the federal workforce needs both manageable and secure is a challenge. Dell’s IoT division brings together core infrastructure, technology, and partnerships necessary to fully support agency IoT needs. Dell takes a practical approach to how it looks at IoT for agencies, focused on starting small, but building fast, architect-ing for analytics and connecting what matters.

Additionally, AI technologies will have a big impact, altering how agencies approach security. Today’s security landscape is constantly changing and agencies need security efforts to be similarly dynamic. By applying the latest in AI and machine learning technologies, agencies can dramatically outperform signature-based security platforms and stay a step ahead of adversary efforts. Dell Data Protection offers Threat Defense, which uses AI and machine learning to more proactively prevent malware, rather than approaching security from a purely reactive stance.
