BoeingLogo1 EbizBoeing has received a $9.6 million contract modification to provide Combat Network Communications Technology full-rate production spares as well as modify low-rate initial production spares for the U.S. Air Force‘s B-52 bomber fleet.

The Defense Department said Tuesday Boeing will supply replaceable units for FRP-configured bomber aircraft and retrofit field-deployed, LRIP-configured bombers with with FRP line replaceable units.

Work will occur in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma through Dec. 31, 2019.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate the full amount of the modification at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal years 2014 and 2016 aircraft procurement funds.

The Boeing-built CONECT platform works to help B-52 operators to change missions and weapon targets while in-flight as well as provide situational awareness for aircrews.
