GSAThe General Services Administration held an event Thursday to inform vendors of GSA’s  framework to address outdated technology systems in the government.

GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth hosted the technology industry day with agency Chief Technology Officer Navin Vembar; David Shive, acting commissioner for the Technology Transformation Service; Mary Davie, assistant commissioner of integrated technology services; and 18F Executive Director Aaron Snow, GSA said Thursday.

The event featured a panel discussion on GSA’s future role in the way government agencies will develop and acquire technology, according to the agency.

GSA also provided vendors the opportunity to see demonstrations of current projects, engage with customers and learn about the TTS initiative during the event.

Roth said the service aims to build a foundation for the federal government’s modernization efforts and influence how the government delivers services and information to the public, businesses and other stakeholders.

TTS was established to create, deliver and share tools, applications, platforms, processes, personnel and software systems with federal agencies in an effort to transform public service delivery.
