cybersecurityCarahsoft will act as a federal government market distributor of Palo Alto Networks‘ information technology security platform that works to prevent threats and implement protective measures throughout an attack lifecycle.

Palo Alto Networks built its Next-Generation Security Platform is designed to utilize network, cloud and endpoint security to offer full visibility and control functions for IT departments, Carahsoft said Tuesday.

The platform follows a zero-trust verification policy that works to contextually determine who to grant and deny access to in an effort to hinder insider threat incidents.

Carahsoft will also deliver lead generation, renewal subscription, upsell, sales and marketing support services for Palo Alto Networks’ products as part of the agreement.

“By working with federal sector distribution partners like Carahsoft, together we can provide the federal marketplace with next-generation security technology that can help maintain trust in the digital age by helping organizations prevent cyber breaches,” said Tom Kelley, global head of distribution at Palo Alto Networks.

Palo Alto Networks seeks to comply with the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation, Federal Information Processing Standard 140, National Security Agency Suite B Cryptography and Defense Information Systems Agency Unified Capabilities Approved Product List standards.
