Charles River Analytics to Develop Talent Mgmt Platform for Navy - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCharles River Analytics has secured a potential $2 million contract to develop an automated platform for the U.S. Navy to understand skills and manage training of the military branch’s personnel.

The Crowdsourced Acquisition of Models of Learning Transfer Strategies project is part of Charles River’s efforts to address instructional needs and individual differences through intelligent tutoring, the company said Tuesday.

“CRAM-LESS provides automated support to tackle this massive and complex task to provide the Fleet with the right person in the right place at the right time, saving manpower costs and improving Fleet readiness,” said James Niehaus, a Charles River senior scientist.

The company will lead a team that includes Pennsylvania State University professors Frank Ritter and Rick Jacobs.

CRAM-LESS is designed to determine the skills and strengths of an individual to identify the areas in which further training is needed and those wherein training is no longer necessary.

The contract has a two-year base period valued at $750,000 and an option worth an additional $1.25 million.
