LeonardoLeonardo to Supply Info Mgmt Software for Australian Navy Submarines - top government contractors - best government contracting event has received a contract of an undisclosed value to provide data management software for integration into six Collins-class submarines of the Australian navy.

The company said Thursday it will provide the SmartIDMS platform under the Submarine Communication Information Exchange Management program that seeks to help the service branch transfer data from and to underwater vessels.

Australia’s defense department awarded the contract as part of Project SEA1439 Phase 5B2.

SmartIDMS will work to help Australian navy personnel upload, download and manage data when a submarine connects to a network, Leonardo noted.

The company developed its software for customers to prioritize information based on missions and minimize the risk of potential data exposure to hostile forces.
