Esri Agrees to Expand Airbus Defense & Space Unit's GIS Tech Access - top government contractors - best government contracting eventEsri has signed an enterprise agreement to extend Airbus‘ access to a geographic information system to support the intelligence program line of the latter’s defense and space business.

Airbus seeks to expand its use of Esri-built ArcGIS platform in efforts to help address  environmental, social and economic challenges globally with the use of the mapping and geospatial analysis technology, Esri said Thursday.

Greg Buckman, head of North American intelligence business at Airbus’ defense and space business, said that enterprise-wide access to Esri’s technology will offer web-based spatial analytics for multiple Airbus initiatives.

Esri has provided GIS support to Airbus over the past 26 years.
