Leidos to Help Manage Navy's Acoustic Signature Measurement Hub in Alaska - top government contractors - best government contracting eventLeidos has received a potential $41.9 million contract to help the U.S. Navy operate and maintain a Ketchikan, Alaska-based military facility that conducts acoustic engineering measurements.

The Defense Department said Friday the company will provide operations, maintenance, logistics and program management assistance services to support naval ship and undersea signature silencing programs at at the Southeast Alaska Measurement Facility.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock received one offer for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a solicitation on FedBizOpps and the service branch obligated $100,000 in fiscal 2018 funds at the time of award.

SEAFAC serves as the Navy’s primary facility in the Pacific region for research, development, test and evaluation of tools designed to measure passive acoustic signatures.
